carmelized onions and parmesan with pappardelle
Our most recently introduced (and big in every way) Pappardelle pastas. This recipe would be great with Egg or Garlic Herb Pappardelle.

Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Al Dente Pappardelle
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 large onion, halved and sliced
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 oz. shredded parmesan
Directions
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium. Add onons and thyme, and salt and pepper. Cover and cook 5 minutes so they sweat, then uncover and cook 10 minutes more until onions are carmelized. Cook pasta, and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water for the sauce. Add pasta back into pan, with water, carmelized onions, and butter. Season with salt and pepper, then toss to combine adding the reserved pasta water until a thin sauce is formed. Serve pasta topped with parmesan.
