Asparagus is in season, it's so fresh tasting and so good right now. I just had to share a recent weeknight dinner. Enjoy!

- 1 bag Al Dente Pasta
- 1 bunch asparagus, tough part of stems snapped off
- 1/2 lb bacon, or turkey bacon
- 1/3 c parmesan cheese, grated
- lemon slices to garnish, if desired
- salt and pepper to taste
Cook bacon, drain on paper towels, and crumble into bite sized pieces. Cut asparagus in bite sized pieces. Cook pasta and cut asparagus at the same time in boiling salted water for just 3 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup of cooking liquid. Drain pasta and place in serving bowl, add cooked bacon and Parmesan to pasta and asparagus. Add a little of the pasta water to moisten if desired. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with lemon.
