Baked Pasta recipes
I made a super easy, super delicious do-ahead pasta dish. Since then I’ve made it many times, with just about all of our different flavors of pasta and it turns out great every time.
So happy people are realizing that you can substitute fettuccine and pappardelle for shapes like penne, even in baked dishes. When using in baked dishes, just remember to undercook the pasta, so 2 minutes should be perfect.
Although there are countless recipes for kugel, this one, baked in a tube or Bundt pan, reminds me of a gooey stick bun.
This is a recipe adapted from Showcase magazine. It originally called for lasagna sheets, but I found it easier to make with fettuccine, or pappardelle, and just as delicious. I quadrupled the recipe for a fundraising dinner for 85 people and every person asked for the recipe. Great for a crowd!
