I am really excited about this new product BonaChia®. Until we introduced this product, we had always used eggs in our pasta. That’s because when I started Al Dente 30 years ago my goal was to make pasta exactly like a Grandmother would make it in her own kitchen. Since then, I wanted to make a pasta for the vegans of the world. The cool thing is that because of the way that Chia acts as an egg substitute so that our BonaChia pasta still has the homemade taste and texture that has made Al Dente a favorite among pasta lovers.

This is the ultimate healthy pasta! We took Stoneground Whole Wheat Flour grown for us in North Dakota and mixed it with just a little Durum Wheat so that the texture was just perfect. Then we added chia seeds- those tiny nutritional dynamos. The result----pasta with a whopping 9 grams of protein, a fabulous 6 grams of fiber and an amazing 200mg ALA Omega 3! It's vegan, kosher and of course all-natural and gmo free.
